National Inventors Hall of Fame School...
Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Learning
Come fall 2009, this innovative comprehensive middle school, grades five though eight, will open its doors to students. The National Inventors Hall of Fame School... Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Learning will occupy a new addition to the existing National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation (NIHFF) along with renovated space. The NIHFF and the new CLC will share the facility, which will allow for innovative programming including opportunities to work with inventors as mentors. The centralized location affords opportunities for integration with local establishments such as the Akron Art Museum and the main branch of the Akron Summit County Public Library. The close proximity to The University of Akron will allow visiting professors to work with staff instructors and students along with students accessing The University of Akron research labs and facilities. With these opportunities and focus on science, mathematics and technology, students will become creative, inventive thinkers, problem solvers and involved citizens.
